I am speaking about the Tv series that was aired from 1974 to 1984 about life in the mid-1950s to mid-1960s Midwestern United States, i think people from 1958 America will like this type of comedy as it is closer to home than a 2000s Comedy series. Having glanced at its Wiki page, your assessment seems fair. I wonder what they'd make of the actual time period this show was produced during, meaning the 1970s and '80s. The TV series depicted the 1960s, close to current 1958. Unless you want to give 1958 a TV series like Friends to show.

I think uptimer entertainment that depicts the “JFK Sixties” favorably would be decently received by ‘58 audiences. That said, their opinions may change once they find out about the social and cultural changes that have come about later in that same decade.

What do you think JFK will do when he finds out what happens to him in a couple of years. He'll likely be surprised that he becomes President and is able to avoid war with the USSR in that fateful October of 1962, among other things. But he'd be strongly disturbed at the fact that his OTL self was assassinated the following year; a certain Lee Harvey Oswald might be brought in for "questioning" by downtimer authorities. Plus, the sexual misconduct allegations that will be public knowledge thanks to the uptimers may end his chances at running for President ITTL.

Not to mention JFK's chronic health problems that he concealed from voters in 1960 will be exposed by the uptimers.
I just don't see JFK being the Democratic nominee now.

I wonder what Kennedy himself will make of the 2008 Pacific States, especially in regards to whether they'd be too (socially) liberal for his tastes.

Maria Shriver might be living in California in 2008.

Dunno about Jack's other relatives, but since she was still First Lady of California in 2008, I'd assume that M. Shriver lived there. The first encounter between her and the then-Senator from Massachusetts ought to be interesting for the both of them.

Not just her but possibly her husband at that time.

Another JFK issue - what his family did to his sister Rosemary - the botched lobotomy that left her incapacitated for the rest of her life - is viewed much more negatively in 2008 than it was seen in 1958.

O my. you right stevep, he is governor of California in 2008, and one of the most powerful man in the 2008 Pacific States.

In addition to what the downtimer world will think of him, Dubya might travel to Texas to meet his '58 family. As raw as I'm aware, his parents, grandparents, most siblings and his then-11 to 12-year-old self are around. The latter might make for an especially weird encounter as Dubya the Younger meets the OTL 2008 version of himself.

Can '58 H.W. and '08 W. run on a joint ticket?
