You need to fix your caps lock.
I'm sure that if JFK didn't put RFK in as Attorney General, he would have been elsewhere in the administration. The affects depend upon where he ended up. I'm not sure we can credit a lack of a hot war in 1962 as being down to RFK. The Mafia had already been exposed to the wider public after that raid on a meeting in 1957. If RFK didn't go after them, someone else certainly would. JFK and two top Mafia guys all shared a mistress yet RFK still went after the mob knowing that they, plus the FBI under Hoover, knew this. I imagine someone else not related to the president as AG would have gone harder.

I wonder who'd fill the void if R. Kennedy weren't appointed to that position. Certainly, this has consequences for the course of action that the Kennedy administration takes going forwards.
