For years, I've been doing these ORBATs of what I consider a PERFECT Soviet & WarPac attack posture. Getting accurate info is always difficult.
This is the one I am most happy with.
It is a summer 1987 - when the Soviet Army was at its strongest - pre-attack organisation, ready to go west into West Germany and Denmark.
Those late addition armies in the last trio of fronts are far back and might not see combat if war ends fast or with mushroom clouds, but the four western-most ones certainly would be in a fight heading towards the Rhine.
