Do we have any fans of the story here? Opinions on the book?
I love it. Yes it isn't perfect, but is still rather good. The terrible film doesn't exist in my world! I've written some fanfic before and I am writing some more too.

A mini series might have worked, yes. I've been writing a follow up to my WWZ Operation Stoneferry. This newer, longer story should be posted all at once this coming weekend. It will be the first part of the Undead reaching the UK and deal with the London Outbreak... starting in a hospital.

I read the book back in October and quite liked it; the format of fake witness testimony really worked in its favor.

I read the book back in October and quite liked it; the format of fake witness testimony really worked in its favor. And gave a good insight in how the world dealt with the Zs.

And gave a good insight in how the world dealt with the Zs. I always wanted more though! The movie made the zombies to fast and also the ending, that zombies do not attack those who have a diasiase is just to silly. The novel was intended to be a near future history since it was published in 2006. However, people over at the Zombie Wiki analyzed the story in-between the lines and got the answer on what date it takes place:
So the outbreaks began sometime in 2012 but was not yet publicly discovered until Spring 2013 when Phalanx was discovered to be a placebo. Yonkers would occur in August 2013 while America would be liberated by 2023. China would be clear of zombies by 2025.
