Probably. That, and the writers probably don’t want to alienate some portion of the franchise’s fanbase by having the beloved Captain America run as one of those “dumb Democrats” or “evil Republicans”. I can’t imagine that he’d be a Libertarian, either; the universe needs superheroes to keep society in check, after all. Plus, the current political dichotomy might make someone like him rather uncomfortable. But that’s a separate discussion for elsewhere. Well his evil version did become head of Hydra and rule America. Oh? I take it this was an incarnation from an alternate TL with a rather fascistic outlook and political platform, then? |

No it was a major Marvel comic event this year, just google Captain America turns Hydra to find more information. |

(Ahem). Seriously, though, Eric is screwed and it won't be long before "his" friends discover that something's up. How he'll break it to them that the Galaxy's last hope has been replaced with some weirdo from a backwater world far, far away, I can't specify. Assuming that he makes it out of this whole debacle alive--and let's not kid ourselves, it's likely that he won't--Eric will probably emerge as a sad, PTSD-plagued man who now hates Star Wars with a Sith Lord's passion.

Well depending on how effective those are against Maiar or even Valar that could make a hell of a difference - especially if say it meant Fingolfin was able to defeat Melkor in their duel. They would be less powerful at a distance but especially if Jedi level abilities were common among the elves their going to be bloody lethal against just about everybody and everything they come up against. Unfortunately you might end up with some d**k-head like Feanor or one of his sons ending up ruling much of Middle Earth.

With a maximum speed of about 8mph  Mind you it would probably be more realistic, with advanced solar panels developed that actually using oil powered vehicles in a post-apocalypse society. |
