‘Lt. Commander Data SI To Spock’. Well he has become flesh and blood. True. I assume, however, that he retains the original personality he cultivated as an android. Nonetheless, Data could probably do a decent job of impersonating Spock for a bit (before eventually having to come clean to Captain Kirk & Crew).

‘Orks To OTL Earth’. Mass-death scenario, no question.

Good point. As I said OTL Earth, I was thinking that they’d wind up in 2019–which means extinction for the human race once the Orks gather their bearings to strike. If they were sent to Holy Terra, however, then they’d face far more familiar, better-prepared resistance from Imperial forces hellbent on “stopping the Greenskin tide in its tracks”.

Given their ability to spoor and other 'skills' one would probably be enough. Its likely to get killed but no one is likely to realise the danger until its too late.

I was taking Greenskin spores into consideration myself. But one does seem a bit anticlimactic in the short term, especially since Imperial authorities might track down and destroy the spores of just one, lone Ork that went on a short rampage only to get blasted by local Adeptus Arbites or even Imperial Guard personnel. With that in mind, maybe sending a few hundred thousand—or at most, a million—would be appropriate for not just a respectable first battle, but also a lasting infestation that brings war’s mayhem to the very heart of the Imperium of Man.

Ah sorry I was replying to Lordroel's post so thinking of OTL Earth. If your talking about Warhammer 40k Earth the Imperial would clean out any infection even if they had to sterilise half the planet I suspect.

Perhaps. But a terrifying problem surfaces in a) Holy Terra’s strategic importance as the Imperium’s capital and humanity’s home world as a whole and b) the God-Emperor lives on it, putting him in the line of fire if the authorities take disproportionate measures when removing the Ork infestation. Moreover, I’m pretty sure I read once or twice that to remove the Emperor from the equation would allow daemons to flow forth from the Warp shenanigans surrounding the Golden Throne. Basically, Chaos devours Terra and rips the beating heart straight out of the Imperium of Man.

I remember something like that being mentioned somewhere as well. However given how difficult a Orc infestation is to totally remove I think they would probably consider something like that, especially to stop the Orcs getting near the emperor and his throne.

Good point. I suppose that if the Orks get too out of control, the Emperor might get bulldozed and Chaos will consume Holy Terra because of that anyways. The Greenskins would be delighted to fight some Daemons, but humanity is screwed.

To my knowledge, there was one instance in which a bunch of them got dropped into Khorne's domain to fight, die and get resurrected to continue battling his Daemon servants for the rest of eternity.
