I can't see that lasting long. Wasn't George 'working' in a highly automated future where he did very few hours and it just involved occasionally pushing a button?

I can't see that lasting long. Wasn't George 'working' in a highly automated future where he did very few hours and it just involved occasionally pushing a button?
Pretty much, at least as I recall. In fact, I’d presume Jetson lacks the education and experience for problem-solving or “hands-on” mechanical tasks that working for Musk would require. Mostly, it’s because of how “easy” and free of first-world problems life’s supposed to be in The Jetsons, as opposed to how we in the present are still figuring out how to get there — something requiring ingenuity and brainpower Jetson’s never had to develop, given all the “high-tech” stuff he takes for granted. You know, kind of like how most of us (sans engineers, perhaps) never had to think through how to design an airplane from the ground up, whereas the Wright Brothers did. |

True as well as the much longer hours and stressful working conditions a fair amount of work is a lot more complex than many people looking at an automated future presumed. Basically in some ways we have the worst of both worlds.  |
