Thanks Steve.
The Marine Brigades based in England and Israel are part of the post 1960 shift back to Europe and serve as forward contingency forces for Europe and the Med/Middle East.
There is a lot of tail in the overall US Army. Coastal artillery is likely to go soon and there is significant duplication in air defence.

Notes
- The Triton surface to air missile is a large, long range (160nm) weapon carried on battleships, but is in some ways a temporary solution, with the plan being to replace it with Typhon LR by the late 1960s - The Legion Close-In Weapons System consists of a pair of 37mm autocannons coupled with radar guidance. - Sea Mauler mounts have 16 missiles for battleships, carriers and cruisers and 8 missiles for destroyers - The multiple 25mm and 40mm mounts on heavy surface combatants are automated and automatic octuple mounts that bear something of a visual similarity to the RN's Chicago Pianos, but covered with spherical gun shields and capable of rapid traverse and elevation. Even so, they are rapidly approaching obsolescence and are likely to be reduced in number as the decade goes on. - The BBGs/BBGNs carry their Tartars in four side mounts. - The Taurus SSM is a short range (42nm) anti-ship/land attack missile with a 500lb warhead
General US Order of Battle Notes
- The Jupiter ICBM is a solid fuel missile equipped with a 2 megaton warhead. - The presence of more ceremonial US Army units points towards a rather different history... - US Army deployments are shifting towards Europe, with I, II, III and IV Corps being the primary reinforcement forces for the Atlantic Pact's central front, with IX Corps and XVIII Corps having dual missions on the southern and northern flanks, as well as contingency roles in the Middle East, Africa or the Far East. - Plans for the Pacific are for 4 divisions to be forward deployed to Japan for Far Eastern and Pacific contingencies if tensions with China continue to rise. Vietnam could well be the spanner in the works. - Long term projections call for the replacement of Nike Hercules with a more advanced missile, but there is no current advocacy for a diminution of US air or missile defences; the German air raids on the East Coast of 1941 and 1942 are still fresh in the collective memory. - General Reserve divisions of the US Army National Guard would augment Third Army and Fourth Army in a European emergency, or be employed for operations in the Far East should it go hot. - The US Army Reserve's 'Class A' divisions would be assigned to Fifth Army and Sixth Army in wartime - Training divisions are a means of keeping divisional numbers and heritage on the rolls. In a very long term conflict, they could be activated.
- The USN nominally keeps the battle force/battle line and carrier force separate on paper, but battle divisions and carrier divisions typically operate in combined task forces. - 3rd Fleet and 4th Fleet provide the primary ASW/escort forces in the Pacific and Atlantic respectively. - The amphibious battleships are new construction responses to similar Soviet conversions. - The Essex class attack carriers will be redesignated ASW carriers as the current CVS are decommissioned over the next few years. - The dragon carriers are very large vessels, as befits their purpose. - One of the Apache class tugs is named after the Hekawi tribe of F Troop. - The 5"/54 is a pre-WW2 weapon that fills the role of the 5"/38 from @, albeit with differences in performance.
- The USAF aerocarriers will become more effective with new aircraft currently under development. - Replacing the B-56 Canberras, B-66 Destroyers and F-105 Thunderchiefs will be a large task, predominantly falling to the F-111, but potentially involving other aircraft. - Likewise, replacing the C-124s, C-125s and C-135s with the C-141 will be a large programme.

Interrupter, WatchmanNotes- The Triton surface to air missile is a large, long range (160nm) weapon carried on battleships, but is in some ways a temporary solution, with the plan being to replace it with Typhon LR by the late 1960s - The Legion Close-In Weapons System consists of a pair of 37mm autocannons coupled with radar guidance. - The Taurus SSM is a short range (42nm) anti-ship/land attack missile with a 500lb warhead General US Order of Battle Notes- The Jupiter ICBM is a solid fuel missile equipped with a 2 megaton warhead. Do not now what to sya simon darkshade , only that this is a epic and can rank amongs the best Orbats you have made so far. So what does BBGN, BBG mean for the Battleships.

- The Taurus SSM is a short range (42nm) anti-ship/land attack missile with a 500lb warhead General US Order of Battle Notes- The Jupiter ICBM is a solid fuel missile equipped with a 2 megaton warhead. Do not now what to sya simon darkshade , only that this is a epic and can rank amongs the best Orbats you have made so far. So what does BBGN, BBG mean for the Battleships.
I would assume guided and guided, nuclear [powered] is the normal use for them in subs so suspect the same here.
Interesting that the US capital ships - BB and BC and their largest class of cruisers have their own Polaris missiles, which probably complicates their operations as that means they have a strategic as well as a tactical role. There were plans for short ranged nuclear missiles on some surface ships by the Italians and others in I think it was either the 50's or 60's but this came to nought as they were considered too vulnerable to pre-emptive strikes to have a practical use. With the fact the US ships will be deployed across a much larger area and in greater numbers they may consider this less of a problem. Although it would seem likely, with the development of SSBM subs, that such missiles could be phased out of surface vessels.
Agree a fascinating and huge fleet.

Thanks gentlemen. This isn't so much an orbat but a companion piece to the earlier USN orbat; this lists off the various ship attributes.
The strategic missiles on large surface combatants is in line with plans for cruiser and battleship conversions from the late 1950s and new plans well into the 1960s. The types of missiles may divide, with some more suited to surface ships under development, but their phase-out isn't planned or anticipated at this time. It is part of the multi-pronged USN contribution to the deterrent - submarine based missiles, carrier bombers, battleship shells, surface ship ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, among others.

They are a successor class, coming out of various design studies that occurred between the Montanas being laid down in 1940 and 1957. There were a series of different designs, culminating in the nuclear battleship of 1956/57.
The requirement to replace the oldest of the New Standard battleships, the Washington class of 1934/35, began to take on more importance in 1955, although rolling refits and time in reserve extended the effective service life of the modern super battleships to 32 years.

How many crew is needed to man a Texas class, it must be in the thousands like a Montana-class of OTL.

Approximately 3600. The Soviet and British ships have roughly the same crew size.

Roughly 5900, with savings due to automation offset by the larger air group.

So we have the Monitor-class battlecruiser and the Hawaii class battlecruiser, but it seems that we do not in the Darkearth verse have the Alaska-class cruiser ore whatever the desganted it, does it mean it is never build here.

Given that Alaska is Canadian, the parallel class is the Hawaiis, built during WW2 and seeing service in 1944-1945 and the Korean War.

Not a problem at all. The Hawaii class here don't have their origin as a counter to the pocket battleships or as cruiser killers, but as genuine battlecruisers. They follow on from the Dark Earth Lexington class, four of which served in their original battlecruiser role in the war.
