I remember back in 2001 on that Tuesday when hearing about New York thinking 'this is either Palestinians or Norks' (North Koreans). Bin Laden and AQ was only something I was vaguely aware of, recalling the USS Cole attack: I'd forgotten the embassy attacks.
Of the 19 killers on 9-11, fifteen were Saudi, two were from the UAE and one each from Egypt and Lebanon. What if there was a Palestinian representation among them? Several, not one or two but three, four even five were Palestinian. Would this have changed the War on Terror to any degree? Bin Laden would still be responsible but with several hijackers being Palestinian what kind of effect would that have had?
I do recall there being images on the TV of celebrations in the streets in the West Bank (maybe Gaza) in the hours afterwards before the local PA dragged the crowds in or the cameras away: only Iraq was stupid enough to celebrate 9-11 officially. Iran, North Korea and any regime with a brain knew that this wasn't the time for an anti-US tirade. Could the post-attack celebrations, even when fast silenced, and then the identities released of hypothetical Palestinian hijackers have played into the War on Terror to a significant degree?

Definitely a factor that could influence things. The US is likely to be distinctly more friendly to Israel and hostile to whatever Palestinian groups thought behind them. Could possibly help Al Fatta if their seen as the moderates opposing such extremists or could see all Palestinian groups painted with the same brush

Well the main target will still be Afghanistan, doubt we will see United States marines storm the beaches of the Gaza Strip and United States 101st Airborne drop into the West Bank.
