Could the Galactic Empire Take Over The Earth?
Like it but there is one other small problem for the Imperial invasion of Earth. The Empire would not only have to avoid its destruction but also develop inter-galactic travel since its in a distant galaxy and also last a very long time. Coupled with the chronic incompetence displayed by imperial forces the idea of this happening does seem rather unlikely.

Well what about it was something of a fleet send by the emperor on a long voyage to establish a safe haven in case the empire lost and that fleet just stumbled across Earth and decided, he a good planet to make our new home. |

And they ran into the traditional worm-hole of some sort who brought them to somewhere near us, both temporally and spatially. Of course I don't think the emperor was the sort of person who ever thought he would be defeated.
One other factor no one has mentioned so far. Does the force work here and are any sith in the invasion force?

The emperor was a person who had many side projects, seeing a wormhole that goes to a different universe and time period is something i would like to investigate , with a small fleet of course, just to see what the locals are capable off. |
