This coming Friday, I am going to see Alien at the cinema. They are showing it due to the 40th anniversary of its' release. I've seen it before but a big screen showing sounds just great.
Beware of the chest-poppers!

I have no intention of watching Captain Marvel partly since Bree Larsen said she didn't want my money so she isn't getting it, and partly because I have heard the Movie is not all that good.
Instead I watched Lord of War, a drama that features one of Nicholas Cage's better performances. It also has a really memorable opening scene.

I found Captain Marvel good, but Lord of War is also good, especially the scene where he is telling the Interpol agent that he is not going to jail. |

It's been out for a bit and has become the second-highest grossing 2019 film thus far, but I wanted to point out that How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World--which appears to be the last in the line of a movie trilogy based off of the books and accompanied by an animated TV series--is also worth discussing. But I'm not sharing spoilers, both in the case that a) people haven't seen it yet and/or b) people haven't watched any of the stuff. Instead, here's the trailer: |

I saw Captain Marvel tonight. It's marvelous. I watched it earlier this evening myself, and found it mainly enjoyable like you. Although, some parts of the plot made less than adequate sense to me--though I won't name which to avoid giving spoilers. |

A Clockwork Orange was showing at the cinema tonight, a re-showing of the 1971 film.
I've seen it before but it was different to see it on the big screen. There were quite a few people there. There were some people - young couples - who walked out early on in the film though. It is rather controversial.
