I watched Alita: Battle Angel just tonight. An...exotic movie with a plot that I didn't piece together from the trailer(s) alone, and one that kept me rather mystified and sometimes without guesses as to what'd happen next throughout the storyline. Weird conclusion, too.
Further, it was only after some Wiki-surfing that I found out about the manga series that it's originally based off of.

I saw Shot Caller (2017 film) last night.
Extremely violent story indeed.

I watched Superman Unbound last week. An interesting storyline, but in some ways the protagonists' efforts seemed to go more smoothly than I'd expect from today's action movies.

Twice in a row, but okay. Anyways, I watched Detective Pikachu just tonight. Quite an interesting movie with unexpected moments in which the plot took a different turn, as most films I've seen as of late often are.

Quite honestly, I wonder if the Pokemon anime would visually resemble the film depiction if it were live-action instead of animated. |

I went to watch Once Upon A Time In Hollywood last night. I was so excited to go see it. The film was rubbish. That's too bad. I'd have imagined that a Hollywood-centric film that took place in the midst of the Swinging Sixties--sexual revolution and anti-war activism and all--would be quite the setting by itself. |

I watched Aladdin (2019) last night. It was pretty good, with more changes to the storyline and added background issues than I originally anticipated there'd be.

Hummingbird (2013)
I watched this last night. It wasn't brilliant but not as bad as feared either. It was overdone in places and needed to get rid of stereotypes too much of cockney Londonders.
I cringed at one small thing. This is a British film set in Britain. Who would say the 'Department of Defence' when talking about the MOD: I wanted to scream at the TV 'it is the ministry!'.
