In the past two days i watched both A Star Is Born and Bohemian Raposody. I guess you could say both are musicals. A Star Is Born was the better of the two - brilliant old fashioned story, tragedy at the end - but Bohemian Raposody was good too. I'll probably watch them again.

Well, I finally saw Forrest Gump today, after years of intending to watch it . I thought it was a great movie: better than I was expecting. I'd stayed away from it a bit because I thought the Vietnam War wasn't something I could really relate to - but, in reality, you really don't need to know anything about the war to appreciate this film (and less than half of it takes place during the war anyway). It's quite emotionally powerful, with - it has to be said - a bittersweet ending. Can we agree that Forrest Gump is set in a AH universe. Perhaps, although it would have been a fun alternate universe to live in! Anyway, I'm planning to see Endgame on Tuesday. Hopefully it'll live up to the hype .

But there are many, many showing of that film and hardly anything else out at all with very few showtimes for those.

I saw Long Shot today. Its a rom-com, which is never my favourite type, but it was okay. Irrelevant humour overall but not a waste of money by any means.

@lordroel, since you seem so obsessed With Ryan Reynolds voicing Pikachu in the Detective Pikachu Movie I am going to give you some important advice. Please sit Down because this might blow Your mind. Ready? You don't have to watch the Movie if you don't want to. And if you don't like it, at least try to not to ruin it for the People who do want to watch the Movie. So please, stop saying that Deadpool is voicing Detective Pikachu and try to provide something constructive instead. Got it?

It was a good trailer that did a good job teasing the Movie.

Yeah, that does get annoying - although, most people will have seen it by now, so I expect there will be more room made for other films soon enough . In the end, I didn't get to see it on Tuesday (I was ill on that day), but now that I'm feeling better, I have a firm plan to see it tomorrow.

At least as is true in the United States, Detective Pikachu came out just yesterday. I unfortunately haven't seen it yet, but has anyone else on the forum done so?

Films being released this year which I want to see: Once Upon A Time In Hollywood - Tarantino film. It 2. Zombieland 2. Terminator 6 - reboot starting over from the second film, ignoring 3, 4 & 5.
Anyone else looking forward to others out this year?

Saw Pet Semetary recently. Pretty good film, though I don't think it totally lived up to the hype. Midsommar, by the same people who did Hereditary, looks fantastic though for all horror fans. It looks to be a but more sophisticated than most horror films.

I went to see Rocketman, the Elton John film, last night. It wasn't very good.
I saw a trailer for a film called Yesterday. It looked a bit like an ISOT, sort of. No maybe a different thing but similar. From what I could gather, a guy is sent to an alternate world where The Beatles never existed. Playing all their songs, claiming credit for writing them, makes him suddenly the greatest musician in the world. Maybe it might turn out rubbish past the trailer but the idea was interesting.
