Statement on those Banned from Alternatehistory.com
To our members who have sought out this place as a refuge after being banned from alternatehistory.com.
We understand your frustration with their administration. They are not perfect, and have erred. We will assume you come to us in good faith.
However, we will harbor no home for bigotry. Racism, sexism, and other forms of bigotry will not be tolerated on this site; indeed our policies compared to those with alternatehistory.com are in writing fairly similar. Do not bring those miserable things here, or you will be banned from here too.
Likewise, we will not be your base to get back against that site. We will punish any attempt to disrupt their site using ours as a staging ground. If Ian and his moderators need our help in managing a cross-site incident, we will give them our full support.

I do have my disagreements and disappointments with the team running that forum, but honestly, I have more important things to occupy my mind.

While people might have disagreements with AH.com, Alternate Timelines does not want to be used as a place where banned AH.com members announce, plan ore strike at AH.com, that is something this forum does not like ore approve, anybody who was banned at AH.com and who likes to simply have fun here, we welcome them with open arms and do everything to keep them happy. |

Thanks, it was mostly something that spanishspy came up with and which i am 100% am behind with. It's an excellent idea. It's very important to make clear that this board isn't meant for any kind of spite. Yes you are right, we welcome anybody with open arms, but do make it clear that this forums has rules which we like people to follow, if you follow them we are happy, if not, then we might have to act, this statement is one of them. |

Within the last week of writing, the Arlington County School Board unanimously passed a new boundary map that effectively segregates the county school system, in a way that will make a certain high school, Wakefield, have more than twice the African-American population than the other two high schools in the county, Washington-Lee and Yorktown, combined. Wakefield already has an overwhelmingly minority-majority population, compared to pasty-white Yorktown and more diverse Washington-Lee, and this new boundary plan will make Yorktown the whitest school in the beltway, and whiten Washington-Lee, my alma mater, further. |
