Before, lets make it from the movie the Wizard of Oz after he has defeated the Wicked Witch of the West but before Dorothy, Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion arrive. Gotcha. But the Yellow Brick Road will still be brought along. A part of it, but if it is made of real gold i doubt it will lay there for long.

You know, that is an interesting theory, considering that the Monolith practically gifted them with intelligence. Those apes could be the flying monkeys' ancestors; how they got the ability to fly, however, may still be unknown.

Well that is what the Wicked Witch of the West could solve that problem, have here hear about the legend of the apes worshiping a strange Monolith who are gifted with intelligence, she captures some and over time mutates them into the flying monkeys we now, stupid monkeys i doubt have the brains to fly.

Just so you know, I will continue working on this TL even when AH.com is currently online. That way, in case it ever crashes again, I won't be affected. In the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions for the next set of ISOTs? Posting on two sites is a good idea. I post my TL on another one as well. This my favourite, where I've made myself at home, but a backup is always good. Lordroel does an excellent job of keeping his site up, taking part in discussions here and keeping a good atmosphere for posters & readers.

The list I have so far:
The Emerald City from The Wizard of Oz, shortly after the Wizard has defeated the Wicked Witch of the West (just outside of London) Four Walmart stores from OTL 2017, sans people, with all items fully stocked (near the Mario Bros.' house, inside Imperial France, between London and the Emerald City, and in an area close to the Underground monsters' current location) The Kingdom of Mewni from the SvFE Sisters AU (southern Georgia) All Union and Confederate armies (plus their encampments) from OTL 1861, just before the First Battle of Bull Run (near the site of OTL Palmdale, California) Hernan Cortez and his contingent of Spanish conquistadors from OTL 1519, at the exact moment they set foot in the Yucatan Peninsula (five miles away from the two armies)
The rest I came up with all on my own. What do you think?

What do you think? What about the city of gold, it gives Hernan Cortez a reason to search for it, then he finds it, only to discover he can not spend it as there is no Spain to return to.

As in, the fabled city of El Dorado? That can be possible. Perhaps I'll ISOT it, but instead of the Mayans, he'll find the Moorish population of Cordoba from around the mid-13th century. That alone will give him more of an incentive to conquer it.

They might play some sort of role in his conquest.
