So i take the Franken than, but i must warn everybody, i am a total noob in these type of games but i will try my best. Don`t worry the game is mostly centered on fucking the person playing as the WRE Wait, am located next to the WRE, my army is only 30,000 compared to the WRE 75,000, so should i not be worried more.

Don`t worry the Romans have to spread their army out to prevent revolts from breaking their empire apart and causing that player`s turn to end making it less likely for them to win the game which will eventually force the WRE player to abandon provinces like the Romans did in real life to preserve the empire and continue their turn. Also the other barbarians greatly outnumber the Roman army in France when combined.

Just a thought. Are there none-player nations in the game, that we might have to worry about attacking our territories? For instance if I took over the Saxons, which is a temptation, and took over much of England would I have to bother about say the Picts to the north attacking me, or alternatively possibly being able to expand into their territory? Also obviously one wild card is whether the Huns would be turning up later to threaten everybody.

Steve I might bring in the Huns if the barbarians are tearing through the Western Roman Empire during the first few emperors, but for the Saxons if they somehow break through the 5,000 Romans in Britain quickly and somehow conquer large swatches of the WRE while other barbarians are doing the same thing in a couple turns then I would have the Picts come after them but that probably wouldn`t happen.

So by playing this game we might up with a completely different history of Europe than OTL.
