What happens?
What does China and India do? What happens in Africa and the East Indies?

India will go for Goa round 2.0 as they done previous. China will do the same. Africa will have a problem with having two former countries replace with Portuguese colonies, they do not want a repeat of the civil wars in those countries. |

India will go for Goa round 2.0 as they done previous. China will do the same. Africa will have a problem with having two former countries replace with Portuguese colonies, they do not want a repeat of the civil wars in those countries. Indonesia will become a mess as it will no doubt become independent fairly quickly but will be far less developed than neighbouring areas which could cause a lot of disruption. On the bright side a lot of the rain forests and animal life of places like Borneo have been regenerated and might survive better this time around. Europe will also have problems. They have lost not only a medium size but wealthy country which has been replaced by a war devastated country from 40 years in the past. Furthermore as it contains the Rhine delta that will also have a huge impact on that river system as much of the trade of places along the Rhine are exported via Rotterdam. There will still be some capacity but a lot will be lost, for instance no container port will be present so traffic through it will be pretty badly screwed for a while. |

I don't know what I read Portugal as the Netherlands. Senility would seem to be getting worse than I thought. No problem, can happen, but you where close, Portugal does control East Timor who might get a new visit from the Indonesian who might go in under the pretense of peacekeeping and assisting the population of East Timor. |

East Timor is relatively better off - no Indonesian-destroyed infrastructure in the 1946 version and its capital, Dili, is a sleepy Portuguese colonial town instead of a chaotic Asian city.
