The Constitution specifies a term of two years for the first elected President (Sam Houston) and terms of three years thereafter; the President cannot succeed himself, but there are otherwise no term limits. Pretty unlikely but it could be done. Bush is toppled due to bad economy as per IOTL. Clinton never fully recovers from the Republican Revolution, 1996 goes to House and Dole wins. Dole is wounded because he lost PV and then Gingrich's cuts to social programs prove unpopular, plus he fails to connect with the public. Bradley is seen as weak on terrorism and the economy is weak. Jeb has the economy crash on him and Trump runs as an Independent. Warner has gridlock and can't get the economy better so Allen beats him. By then the public would be pretty pissed and so we could see a third-party victory. Up next, alternate New Zealand PMs

For Want of a Referendum(this is a TL idea) Jim Bolger(1990-2001)National Jenny Shipley(2001-2003)National Steve Maharey(2003-2009)Labour Judith Collins(2009-2015)National Grant Robertson(2015-)Labour
-------------------------------- New Zealand never has electoral reform because David Lange never accidentally promises a referendum on it so reform never gains much impetus. New zealand stays under 2-party First Past the Post. In the 1993 election, NZ has a hung parliament, with National reduced from the biggest landslide in history to minority government. A 1994 election is called, which Bolger wins against new Labour leader Helen Clark. National continues to implement neoliberal reforms to the economy, while Labour becomes divided. Former leader Mike Moore returns for 1997, but is beaten easily. The same happens in 2000. Bolger retires in 2001 and is succeeded by Jenny Shipley. However by now the public wants change, and New Zealand's entry into the Iraq War increases that desire. New Labour leader Steve Maharey, despite controversies over his temper, wins in a landslide in 2003. Maharey withdraws from Iraq, and angers Labour's Maori supporters with a Foreshore & Seabed Act that is more in favor of the Pakeha. maharey governs as a New Zealand Blairite, and the result is despite anger on the left he wins another landslide in 2006. By 2009, the economy is struggling with the global financial crisis. In 2009, the left splits in two, with the Greens posing a major threat to Labour while a resurgent National with attack-dog leader Judith Collins demolishes Maharey. After a bitter election National is returned to power. However in power Collins does less of a stimulus than IOTL and the economy continues to struggle. She wins a narrow victory in 2012 over David Cunliffe but in 2015, a united left under Grant Robertson fells her. Still, New Zealand's democracy, and all that governs, are far less healthy without MMP and instead FPP.

Nice list, if you would place the list of Australian Prime Minister of the past five years (Kevin Rudd, Julia Gillard, Kevin Rudd second time, Tony Abbott and Malcolm Turnbull who is current) your list of five PMs in a period of 15 years make New Zealand more stable.

US Presidents-each party keeps power in 16 year spurts Dwight Eisenhower(1953-1961)Republican Richard Nixon(1961-1969)Republican Hubert Humphrey(1969-1977)Democratic John Connally(1977-1985)Democratic John B Anderson(1985-1993)Republican Tom Kean(1993-2001)Republican Paul Wellstone(2001-2002)Democratic Sam Nunn(2002-2009)Democratic Wesley Clark(2009-)Democratic
In 1960, Nixon wins. Bay of Pigs goes better, avoiding the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the Vietnam War is avoided, with US support for South Vietnam not being to OTL's extent. Nixon beats LBJ in 1964, but the civil rights movement dominates his second term. In 1965, Nixon proposes a Civil Rights Act to Congress, but congressional Democrats, with no LBJ treatment, hold it up. Meanwhile riots begin to envelop major cities and low-level violence becomes commonplace in the South. In 1966, Nixon tries to get Republicans elected in the midterms to get a mandate for civil rights, but it fails abysmally. His presidency ends with racial tension and violence reaching shocking heights. In 1968, the Democrats nominate liberal Hubert Humphrey, splitting the party as George Wallace and the southern wing form a third-party, the American Independent Party(AIP). Despite this Humphrey wins a narrow victory over Henry Cabot Lodge. Humphrey's presidency sees Congress finally pass civil rights. In 1972 he beats Nelson Rockefeller but the economy promptly crashes due to the oil crisis and Republicans take Congress in 1974. Still, in 1976 Humphrey's VP Connally beats conservative Barry Goldwater, tarring him as an extremist. In 1980 the economy has begun to recover, but it seems Connally is likely to be defeated again, having a mediocre(at best) presidency. However the GOP splits in two and has a brokered convention, resulting in Gerald Ford being nominated in a compromise. Connally narrowly beats Ford, carrying most of the South. In 1984 though, while the economy has finally recovered swing voters are ready to abandon the Democrats en masse and fears of communism are strong. Anderson wins in a landslide, and then again in 1988. In 1992 New Jersey Governor Tom Kean wins, defeating Al Gore, who struggles to prove he would be tough enough on the Soviet Union, which has recently reformed under Premier Romanov. Kean wins again in 1996 when Democrats nominate Jesse Jackson. In 2000, liberal Paul Wellstone wins big as the economy plummets into a deep recession after years of growth and America is bogged down in a war in Jordan against a new communist regime. Wellstone has a dovish foreign policy and passes a big economic stimulus bill, but days before the 2002 midterms is killed in a plane crash. His VP, Nunn, takes over and Nunn is more hawkish. Nunn wins by a landslide in 2004 but his presidency ends with a war in Sudan as US intervention there backfires. General Wesley Clark is elected, ends the Sudan War and manages to pass single-payer healthcare through Congress. The economy goes into a recession in 2012, so the 2012 election goes to the House, where Clark beats Republican nominee former House Speaker John Kasich. Clark's second term sees gridlock, economic troubles and struggles to deal with a rising USSR. Former Connecticut Senator Hillary Bush(Hillary Clinton married Jeb Bush TTL) looks set to win the presidency over Evan Byah after securing the GOP nomination easily while Bayh struggles with a leftward challenge from California Governor Jerry Brown and a rightward one from Joe Manchin. Many believe the Democrats are headed for a brokered convention. But whatvere they're headed for, 16 years in power is about to end, as it always does.

It's the economy, stupid! American Presidents
George H. W. Bush / Dan Quayle [R] 1989-1993 (def. Dukakis/Bentsen [D])
Bush and Quayle inherited Reagan's good times and presided over peace in the Middle East when war threatened in mid 1990. They were then at the helm when the domestic economy took an unexpected turn for the worse later that year. Domestically, Bush was out of his league: foreign policy was his big deal. Quayle... was just that not-so-bright guy from where?
Mario Cuomo / Bob Graham [D] 1993-2001 (def. Bush/Quayle [R], 1992) (def. Pete Wilson/Richard Lugar [R], 1996)
Cuomo was the dream president for many Americans and gave them what they wanted: peace and prosperity. The 90s were the good times. Unchallenged, Pax Americana tried it best in a brave new world and while it didn't always work, no disasters happened too. The world looked to America for leadership and Cuomo gave it.
John McCain / John Ashcroft [R] 2001-2005 (def. Graham/Bob Kerrey [D])
McCain got the blame when it all went wrong. The economy tanked a year in. Poor McCain had no control over that and inherited what he got left. The American people didn't care: it was their savings and their homes at risk. Scandals rocked the last two years of the McCain Administration and the voters had had enough of everything. Goodbye.

Three B*stards Out There... and winning - A list of alternate British PMs
John Major (Cons.) 1990 to 1995 Conservative prime minister who replaced Thatcher. A temperamental man in private (also allegedly a rather passionate one too!) who had problems within his own party over Europe. Major was annoyed with the three b*stards from his Cabinet. He challenged his fellow MPs to beat him for the leadership: one did.
Peter Lilley (Cons.) 1995 to 1997 [B*stard #1] His fellow MPs lost their minds in voting for Lilley. Boy, did they regret it. He seemed determined to bring the party down and the mood of the nation - those damn 'chattering classes' especially - wasn't something he cared about. Lilley lead the Conservatives to win just 163 seats in '97.
Tony Blair (Lab.) 1997 to 2003 Tony: enough said. Took his case to the country after a vote on the Iraq War went wrong and his party was split. It was a matter of principle, a stupid hill to die on.
Michael Portillo (Cons.) 2003 [B*stard #2] Portillo did the impossible and won a return to power for his party. This was after losing his seat in '97 too in an infamous upset but turning everything around within a few years. The Conservatives were meant to be out of office for a generation: he proved that wrong. A bad ticker done him in though, the stress of the job brought that on and not those rumours about his private past. He died at his desk in Downing Street.
Michael Howard (Cons.) 2003 to 2006 [B*stard #3] The supposed saviour of the party. He was meant to smooth over issues with Europe and extend the tiny majority the Conservatives held at an election on his timescale at the most opportune moment. Labour collapsed in the polls and Howard gambled. He thought he knew what he was doing yet ran a terrible campaign. No one knew how he buggered that all up.
Alan Johnson (Lab.) 2006 to ??.?? The People's Prime Minister. He united his party with the message of getting the Tories out and beat Howard with a comfortable majority of more than fifty seats overall. Relations with the EU got a sticky plaster though because there were challenges even the softly-spoken political giant that was Johnson couldn't overcome.
