You challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to prevent the French Revolution with a PoD no earlier than 1715.

You challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to prevent the French Revolution with a PoD no earlier than 1715. Is that preventing it succeeding or preventing it occurring at all? If the former there are suggestions that even after 1789 Louis XVI with a bit more decisiveness and luck might have been able to stay in power, although there would probably have been some nasty fighting, massacres and suppression of opposition. Plus it might stoke the fires for another rebellion later down the line.
