IC; i do never understand how a person like him could be a democrat. OOC: Nice i think i see the way you are going with a certain Turtledove book. Yeah even the most socalist President of Amercia Noam Chomsky was a critic of Stalin. To bad it took more than 11 years before J. Edgar Hoover decided to drop dead.

Well, even a democratic Russia in the end will have tried to take back the territory lost after WW1 and the civil war, the pre-Savinkov goverment tried the diplomatic way but both the second Polish-Lithuanian commowealth and the little entente rebuffed the various offer knowing perfectely that the russian doesn't have enough military force at the time to take it back. This was one of the principal reason that brought Moscow to a de-facto secret alliance with Germany, using russian resources and territory to help his secret rearmament program.
Naturally i doubt that without that psycho we will have such apocalyptic conflict, things will have surely remained more limited (at max the pre-war border, but i doubt any reasonable man will have tried to reassorb all Poland and Finland).

The second Polish-Lithuanian commowealth is only a dream Poland has, never took of as they hoped. Well, yes the coup that hallowed the union of Lithuania and Poland for Pildusky was just the first step for the creation of the 'Międzymorze' or Intermarium; but even if the great plan failed the nation was stable enough to resist Russian diplomatic and military pressure till the eve of the war
